SoftAudit for Unix is the auto-discovery and software usage tool that gives you a centralized, accurate inventory of your installed software products and tells you who's using them and when. SoftAudit for z/OS identifies software products and their usage patterns in the mainframe environment. SoftAudit for UNIX version 2.1 introduces a powerful feature called Usage Monitoring. Usage Monitoring was developed using Isogon’s patented methodology for the integration of monitored product usage and discovered product inventory. Usage Monitoring provides a count of the number of times a product, previously discovered and identified by the SoftAudit for UNIX Inventory Tool, has been invoked. The aggregated daily usage data for each product will be displayed in Galaxy Spotlight, the Software Asset Management (SAM) database of SoftAudit, as "Total Activity."

SoftAudit for UNIX also discovers software vendor products and hardware information on UNIX servers. In conjunction with the Galaxy suite of products, it is designed to provide integrated inventory, contractual, and financial information for IT asset managers. This comprehensive, integrated set of products allows the IT asset manager to plan growth and manage IT assets more effectively. Galaxy consolidates software inventory from multiple environments (mainframe, UNIX, and Windows) and links this data with relevant contract and financial data (Isogon’s Vista product), and presents the information through an easy-to-use interface.
