Mainframe Management Software Solutions

Isogon specializes in mainframe and non-mainframe Software Asset Management (SAM) software and services, but also has mainframe productivity tools including InterSession, TicToc and an ISPF/PDF enhancer called Spiffy (see below).

To deal effectively with critical cost management issues, mainframe system managers have to be able to identify the software installed on their systems and to track its usage. SoftAudit for z/OS is the auto-discovery and software usage tool that gives you a centralized, accurate inventory of your installed software products and tells you who's using them and when. SoftAudit for z/OS identifies software products and their usage patterns in the mainframe environment. Fortune 2000 and leading IT outsourcers incorporate SoftAudit for z/OS as an essential part of their IT Asset Management practice.

SoftAudit for z/OS version 3.2 is now available. SoftAudit for z/OS version 3.2 is a maintenance and enhancement release.

SoftAudit for UNIX version 2.1 introduces a powerful feature called Usage Monitoring. Usage Monitoring was developed using patented methodology for the integration of monitored product usage and discovered product inventory.

Vista manages and organizes details from your contracts, contract addenda & attachments, and maintenance agreements. Along with SoftAudit, Vista helps you take control of costs associated with IT contracts and agreements.

Spotlight is the IT Asset Repository for SoftAudit for z/OS, SoftAudit for UNIX, and can be used with Windows auto-discovery tools such as Opsware's Asset Tracking Edition.

SPIFFY (SPF/Extended) is an add-on product that turns IBM's TSO/ISPF/PDF into a centralized, object-oriented development center by consolidating functions, providing new facilities, enhancing existing facilities, and substantially enhancing ISPF performance. It provides added functionality while increasing ease-of-use.

It a nutshell, SPIFFY can greatly increase programmer productivity.

Spiffy adds features to ISPF, as welling as making it easier to use existing ISPF functionality..

TICTOC is the software product for MVS XA and ESA that lets you run different jobs on different "virtual" (fictitious) dates. On a job-by-job basis, you can specify what date the system will say it is when the job requests this information. This lets you test how programs will run, for example, on January 1, 2000 and thereafter, without requiring that every job running concurrently use that same date.
