Over the decades, hundreds of mainframe applications have been developed and installed.  Consequently, Logon/Logoff procedures for all of these competing applications have become slower and more cumbersome, resulting in a decrease in user productivity.

InterSession—an award-winning VTAM-based Session Manager for IBM mainframe operating systems—gives users secure, fast and convenient access to their applications.  Surveys show that using InterSession can save over 40 hours of usage per year, effectively reducing costs and optimizing end user productivity. 

InterSession provides quick, easy and secure automated LOGON and LOGOFF, full-featured electronic mail, and 3270 data stream compression.  InterSession establishes application sessions through an unlimited number of virtual terminals, within one CPU or between multiple CPUs.  InterSession can be installed in under an hour without an IPL and can be provided to as many users as desired. 

InterSession's email system allows you to send messages to one user or to a group of users via a mailbox or through immediate display. When messages are posted for display, you'll see them when you sign on to InterSession or when you select a particular application. If messages are waiting, you'll see an indicator light when you sign on.

In addition, InterSession supports all major security systems (RACF, ACF2, TopSecret, etc.) and enhances security with additional password protection, terminal-locking, automatic user revocation, and other features.
